Is Technology moving Too Fast?

The rate at which technology is advancing is very alarming,even if not to everybody, atleast to the majority of the members of the today's mother earth community.
Man has really advance in terms of everything in his life; Food,Shelter, Clothing, Social life, Politics... in short from club to Nuclear warheads.
This trends needs to be checked. We need somebody to press the not-very-fast-forward button atleast for the rest to catch up.
